George Floyd was born in North Carolina on 21st December 1960. He grew up in Houston Texas and had recently moved to Minneapolis where he worked as a bouncer. George Floyd was 46 years old.
On 25th May Mr Floyd was unlawfully murdered by a police officer. His death has sparked a chain of protests all over the world. Most of them peaceful but some not so peaceful.
George Floyd’s family have now called for peace. They have referred to their brother as a gentle giant. Instead, they have requested that people should donate to charity in remembrance of who he was.
